This apartment rental is located near the Roman Forum and the Colosseum in the area called "Monti" (Via Leonina 37 - just a few meters from the metro station Cavour), ancient neighborhood of the "Suburra " (the name means "area under the city"), mentioned in historical sources, that still today maintains a popular and characteristic flavor.
The apartment (40/45 sqm - 430-485 sq ft) is on the second floor of a building of the 19th Century (with elevator and air conditioning) and it is composed of: bedroom (queen size bed) with a small balcony that looks out on a good sized garden. The apartment is also equipped with a washing machine. With the greenery and freshness of the garden, you would never guess that you are in the historic center of Rome.
|
The bedroom is separated from the living room by means of a sliding door. The door has been painted with tromp l'oeil by the owner of the apartment and when opened forms, together with the decoration on the walls of the living room, a unique illusion.
|
Going down three steps you enter the dining area and corner kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, electric stove and everything needed for preparing your meals). The tiles in the kitchen as well as the dining tabletop have all been painted by hand by the owner, another example of the care that has gone into decorating this apartment. The dining area looks out on a typical Roman piazza, complete with a characteristic pizzeria with tables and umbrellas. The original wooden ceiling tiles have been restored, giving the warmth of wood to the entire environment. The bathroom is decorated with travertine tiles, and, though not very big, it is comfortable and includes: w.c., bidet, sink and shower. The apartment is also equipped with a CD/DVD player.
Upon your arrival, the owner will make available, in addition to her knowledge and experience, also a large number of tourist guides, brochures and maps of Rome so that you will immediately have Rome, as they say, "in your hands."
Rome Airport Transfers: Fiumicino & CiampinoDolce Rome Apartments has arranged an agreement with a Taxi company and has succeeded in establishing a fixed price to and from the two airports in Rome. |
| For small group walking tours, Natalia recommends Context Travel, which in her experience is one of the best in Rome! |
Our lodgings offer the best between a bed and breakfast and an apartment rental: cozy and comfortable like a B&B yet the apartment remains always and only at your disposal, giving you all the privacy you want for your vacation in Rome.

Rome in August
For a cultural holiday that also includes time at the seaside and beach, Rome in August is ideal.
The city is much less chaotic and crowded and you'll find the lines to visit museums and monuments much shorter, leaving you all the time you'll need to spend half the day enjoying the sights in Rome and the rest at the beach at Ostia Lido.
The " Lido di Ostia " is easily reached with a frequent train from Rome and in less than 30 minutes you'll be at the seaside. We recommend a side trip to "Ostia Antica," the ancient Roman port with some of the best conserved ruins and mosaics in the world.
