The apartment is located in the historic center in Rome close to the important Basilica of San Clemente and halfway up via San Giovanni in Laterano, (see map of Rome) a street that from ancient times has united the Colosseum and the Basilica of San Giovanni: from the windows of the apartment, looking to the left you can see the Colosseum and to the right, the obelisk LATERANENSE (the oldest and the tallest of Rome). It will be easy to move about Rome as the apartment is very close to two metro stations: Colosseo and San Giovanni.

BASILICA OF SAN CLEMENTE:
The complex of San Clemente actually consists of a 12th century basilica, which was built on top of a 4th century basilica which was, in turn, built on 1st century Roman buildings. All 3 layers can be visited.

BASILICA SAN GIOVANNI IN LATERANO
San Giovanni is the cathedral in Rome founded by Constantine in the fourth century. It was destroyed and rebuilt several times. The current basilica dates back to the 12th century. The façade is by Alessandro Galilei, and is crowned by 7 meter high statues of Christ and the Apostles.
